Four generations of USA Gymnastics All-Around Olympic Champions:

“Every Four Years” - video shown at the 2012 Olympic Trials with Shawn Johnson, Carly Patterson and Shannon Miller
i loooved this. LOL,i videotaped it on my camera. a video of a video. baha. and i love how they showed Shannon at 00 Trials because there is no footage of her at the 1996 Trials, lol.
so i’m super stoked for Trials in 3 weeks and i feel like such a geek because i’ve met a lot of my gymnastics heroes at gym comps throughout the years(Shannon,Nadia,Bart,Carly,Mary Lou etc) but now i really hope they have autograph booths set up for girls like Nastia,Shawn,Aly,Jordyn,Gabby,McKayla,Alicia,Bridget…the only dilemma is….i’m older than all of these girls lol. and i know i’ll feel sorta lame waiting to meet them… BUT i will do it. thankfully i have a very young face so we all look about the same age(i just turned 29 but got mistaken for 16 the week before that, lol) so they won’t ever know and i just admire them so much.i get super starstruck too, like i don’t know what to say other than hi & thank you and i smile like a freak. the funny thing is i’m not shy AT ALL,i talk for days to most ppl and definitely speak my mind regularly and i’m just rambling now but dhfakfhah Nats was a great comp all in all and i haven’t been to a live gymnastics competition in awhile and I CANT WAIT. my fellow gym fans understand right? haha ;D
i love love love this leo. it’s GK and was designed by Carly Patterson as one of their “Legends” leotards. She did better than Kim,Shannon & Amanda imo. it’s Olympic themed, love that.

USA Gymnastics names women’s team for Kellogg’s Pacific Rim Championships
Following a U.S. national team training camp in Huntsville, Texas, at the USA Gymnastics National Team Training Center at the Karolyi Ranch, an official U.S. Olympic Training Site, USA Gymnastics is…
missmegs6:this reminds me A LOT of the previous 2 quads..Nastia went to Pac Rims in ‘08 and i really can’t rem if Carly did but i’m assuming she went in 2004. oh wait,i think she might have gotten injured after Am.Cup. anyway…Jordyn do a couple events here, don’t overdo it and please save yourself for Nats/Trials :)

Day 10
Carly Patterson
Carly was somewhat reminiscent of Dominique Moceanu to me. She came out in the middle of the quad, was one of the youngest, could do the huge skills, had that smile that made ppl love her, that spark,no fear AND she got hurt RIGHT before the Olympics. She had a big injury, had to recover and compete in big competitions(Nats&Trials) and I noticed she lost some of her spark. She had a little bit of fear. Sometimes she looked scared up there. Almost exactly like Dominique did in 1995 and 1996. I could see the differences in both of them after their injuries. It was somewhat uncanny. Yet,after all that,She WON. Although some people may not like her gymnastics, say she didn’t have any personality or style but Carly won. & I was happy about that. Ecstatic even. She made me excited about elite gymnastics again after it had gotten somewhat boring and no one stood out to me. I found out prematurely that she had won the AA in ‘04 while trying to avoid TV’s and computers and I screamed,i jumped up & down,me and my mom went out to dinner to celebrate, lol. An American had won! I wish she had competed in a different quad and had had more competition sometimes but she is and always will be Olympic Champion and Carly is definitely one of my favorite gymnasts :).

winning. i love this picture. so real.
omgah,makes me cry :P.
she’s so cute. that accent.
